A short scout for cymbals

Today I manage to ask XF out to accompany me to look for cymbals. Cymbals can be real expensive. Unfortunately, the cymbals that produce the most 'right' sound for me are those that are way beyond my budget. Although there are no right and wrong with regards to the sound made by the cymbal, I can't stand thick cymbals for some reason which I can't explain it myself.
I almost bought a Meinl cymbal set for beginner. The crash and hi-hats sound were pretty sweet. But the sound from the ride wasn't what I wanted. So I've decided to continue keeping a lookout for second hand cymbals and also some year-end-sales.
We went to HMV after that. I believe I had kind of bore her to death with excessive talks about music and bands. So XF, here's my apology. =)

FLOW's over, what's next?

Before I go into the insights of the show, I would really like to apologise to all my friends who came to support us but wasn't allowed to enter PURE because they are under 18. It's my fault that I did not realise that earlier. The security was really tight. They made things tough for the artistes that night too.
It was really a pity that they weren't there to watch the performance at PURE because some of the bands at PURE are on par to that of the main stage! Nonetheless, some of our secondary school friends turn up. Naresh even brought his girlfriend along! Awesome!
We enjoyed playing our songs to the audience. Everything was fine except that I've receive feedbacks that one guitar is out of tune and the bass is too loud. I truly hope that these factors did not affect the audience.
Now that the gig is over, I guess all of us need a break. We'll still proceed to write new songs and enter the studio once in a while for recording, but we'll not be performing as often as before.
As for me, I guess I'll take this time off to work and buy some cymbals and a pair of good pedals to compliment my drumkit.
